Are there any resources for education loans to persons with horrible credit?

I have horrible credit, and have maxed out my federal loan funding, and still need about $6500.00 more to finish nursing school.

Your nursing college should have a financial aid office. They should have some suggestions for you. If you’ve truly run out of applicable grants, scholarships and student loans, well, you can always resort to getting a personal loan.

The interest rate will be higher than any student loan, and this might not be a good idea in the context of all your finances and debts, but the option does exists. Here are some companies that offer loans to bad credit risks:

Another option is to ask your bank for a personal line of credit. Despite your overall bad credit, if you’ve always been a customer in good standing with the bank, they might loan you the money you need.

But since you say that your credit is bad, whether you get the extra school money or not, definitely consider visiting a credit counseling service. They can help you with a budget and a plan that helps restore a clean credit history.
