bad credit help: I lost my job over a year ago, and I’ve had no job offer since. - Help.com

I lost my job over a year ago, and I’ve had no job offer since.

In the meantime Can’t pay my rent or bills from $1200 p/mo social secuity nor buy food; credit has dipped to under 500 FICO and can’t find a place to rent. IRS ready to take my assets which are none; not even a car to move around for necessities, So IRS contacted my bank to withhold my social security and send it to them.

Anyone know of any companies in the Los Angeles area that will hire me?
My background is in Loans and Real Estate. I’m at retirement age, but I can still work, preferably from home; I’m a good worker, in excellent health, and ready to go, but where? I’ll even consider a loan of $5.00 from a few of you; I’ll pay it back.

Thanks for any input.

Please go to another post I replied to ( I’m not trying to sell you anything, I promise! lol)

If you go to the post below, you’ll find *several* replies from me that include links to various financial assistance programs - perhaps you’ll find some relief via one or more of those links.

Hey there ARies. ^^^

Solcman, have you thot about a career change perhaps?

Perhaps trucking?

the only you need is a pretty good driving record/ no more then 3 moving infractions in 3 years.

and no misdemeanors or felonies (but these are all negotiable. Some LLC companies are willing to hire felons, those w/accidents, etc. due to insurance reasons).

Here is a number to one such company.

http://www.werner.com
phone number 1-800-346-2818.

Let me know if this helps? The money is decent. And you can get financed through the company for school to get your CDL. You’ll just have to work for them for a 1-2 years in repayment (with pay of course….)

Give them a call. I tried to do this since I’m getting out of the military into the (gasp) economy. (Jumping from the skillet into the fire, lol!)
But I had too many tickets and with that small obstacle I’m rethinking my approach, but I still have wiggle room.

it’s not a scam btw. I promise this. You pay no money up-front if you do not have it. It’s just hard for them to find potential drivers w/good records.

And plus there’s a big turnover rate in the trucking industry.

Let me know how it goes!
