alone help: Absolutely terrified. - Help.com

Absolutely terrified.

I’m getting ready for my appointment with the Citizens Advice Bureau to finalise and get ready to present my bankruptcy to the court and I’m sh1tting it. I’m in about £22,000 worth of debt thanks to an abusive partner using me, draining me, making false promises, lying, and taking me for everything I’ve got. I’m 21, he was alot older, abused my trust among other things. Today is just another step further into the deep pile of waste he has left me in. Emotionally, physically and now financially.

How do I cope with this? I’m alone. I live 250miles away from any family or friends. I literally have no one here. He deliberately moved us here because he wanted to control me and wouldn’t let me go and see friends and family nor talk to them. The only reason I’ve been able to speak to them more recently is because, you’ll like this, he’s in prison. I’m slowly trying to get out, trying to find who I am so I can get the courage to leave him. He has people watching me and what I do and where I go so I’m scared to even go out alot of the time.

Anyone else gone bankrupt? What should I expect?

I don’t know, I guess it would be a good idea to go home to your family as soon as possible, that way you have people that might be able to help you. I hope you get back on your feet soon, good luck
