Something weird is happening to my Acer laptop.

The thing is, when I plug in the charger to the wall plug, the charger can work and it lights up. However, the moment I put the other end into my laptop, the charger immediately powers out. Anyone have any idea why this would happen?

Either the charger or the power jack on the laptop might have a short in it.
