Love help: I love someone who is hard of hearing. - Help.com

This post left anonymously

I love someone who is hard of hearing.

He loves me too. Seems like we’re made for eachother. In fact, my aprents arranged the marriage-to-be. And it turned out he was perfect for me. BUt then they found out he was hard of hearing and broke off the marriage and have (violently) disobeyed me from talking to him ever again. But we’re still madly in love……and i have no idea what to do……

sigh. yeah its tearing me apart. he even sold his hearing aid to buy me a diamond ring. i know it’s sounds so hollywood-y but it’s the truth. how many guys would do something like that for a girl?

im just heartbroken right now…

22, believe it or not. but i come from a ridiculously traditional family where decisions are more often than not made by parents. to make it worse, im the only child…..so high high high expectations of me. even if means i have to sell my soul to achieve them….

as your 22 who cares what your parents think cant you move out and get a flat with him or mates? your older than me and i live with my fiance, i think what he done for you was soooo lovely and cute and not many lads would do that. i wonder what your parents would say to me as my fiance is diabetic (injection type) is celliac (allergic to wheat) and is half deaf in one ear would they hold that against him?

you are old enough to make your own decisions and come on the reason we rarely have tradition is because it sooooo out of date if we were all into it everyone would be reading shakespeare still and who cares about expectations i bet your mom didnt live up to her fathers i would say f off to them and tell them to contact me when they’ve grown up lol.
good luck
xxxxxxxxxx
