I don’t know where else to turn…

I know it may seem like a fruitless effort to ask for help on the Internet but it’s really all I have left at this point…

My name is Ryan…I’m 19, and I’ve been struggling in life ever since I was a young boy. I’ve had an abusive childhood, have been homeless on and off, and live in an area with no opportunities to seek work and sadly, I cannot drive(nor can I afford a car) to get somewhere further. I’m a schizophrenic, suffering from depression and PTSD as well, to top it all off.

I’m going to end up homeless again on the 30th, due to the fact that these people who once took care of me are, in my opinion, using me, leaving me without the opportunity to try to make a life for myself.

I write here tonight in hopes that someone…anyone, anywhere, can tell me something…give me that one piece of advice that will help me turn this all around…

Wow. As much as it sucks, you might try having yourself committed. I know that a hospital or institution is probably not where you want to be; but if it keeps you off the streets long enough to get things together then it might be worth it. Just an idea.

Hey man. I have to tell you that there is no magical solution to lifes challenges. You sound like you are in a tough spot. I empathize with you and I hope you feel better. One thing I can suggest is start riding a bike as a means of trasportation. One it gets the blood flowing and could help you feel better. Getting a used bike online or secondhand bike shop is pretty cheap.

You must be an incredibly resiliant person to have got through so much in your life. Where are you now? If it’s the UK, there are places that can help and offer you respite, support and some really decent advice on making long-term changes. And I’m sure other people here can offer suggestions for other countries and places.

Your best bet is a halfway house they have some in every city specific for a schizophrenic They will allow u to stay there untill u attain what u need to. I would hope you have filed for ssi/ssd as this is a great help aswell. You should speak with your shrink about the halfway house and they should be able to get you into one If you have one.If not the local social services office can help in the same way
