Whenever I try to sleep, I hear people screaming in

pain and agony, as if they’re dying, and I bolt upright to hear them coming down the hallway, but nothing ever comes. This really makes me want to end my life or return to the blade, which I stopped using because of loved ones about two months back. What do I do?

Therapy. Lots and lots of therapy.

Clearly, there’s something going on in your head that has manifested in night terrors, and the only way to solve that sort of thing is to speak with a professional.

Thank you. I really didn’t want to have to mention this to my parents but I’m going to now.

It’s nothing to be ashamed of, and it’s nothing that anyone could see as your fault. It’s far better to go through the minor discomfort of facing the problem than it is to go through the stress and torture of living with it untreated.

I’m glad you came to ask for help. Good luck.
