Not sure.. don’t have kids. depends on the level of maturity the 13 year old has. If he or she is mature why not.

13 year olds nowadays are usually very responsible. But, the ones who babysit usually are already known to be responsible and can handle the job. So why not?

I started babysitting when I was 12, but of course it depends on the person. If you’re unsure, I would invite the potential babysitter over to “babysit” while you’re home so you can get a sense of how mature she/he is, and your kids can get to know him/her so they’d be more comfortable. This also gives the 13-year-old the chance to get to know your home and ask you any questions that might come up. Good luck!

it depends on the age of your kid/s aswell because its alot easier to look after a preschool kid than a new baby but also if your kid is quite close aged to the babysitter they arnt going to respect them as an adult and you could have alot of trouble on your hands and no house left either.i would ask them to watch them for an hour or a few hours while your still there or at a neighbours close to hand to see if they can handle it and how they react to a bad situation cause at the end of the day its your kids! and if something did go wronge youd never forgive yourself
