I wish I could afford organic!

I feel like I am not able to give my child every advantage in life because we don’t have money. I feel like every time she gets sick it is my fault, because her little system is being bombarded with chemicals. If she gets cancer later in life, will that be my fault? How can her brain develop to the fullest with pesticides erasing her ABC’s? Is this what the media wants me to feel? That if I don’t buy the best…I’m a bad mother? What do you think?

But let me ask? How did the world survive prior to organic foods being introduced to the mass public? I remember organics first coming out maybe 10 years ago. Then that must mean that people who lived before then, myself included, must be plagued with all sorts of diseases from the man-made chemicals and processing techniques of modern day food distribution?

I don’t think organics are an absolute necessity. I doubt the offer noticeable heatlh advantages. They’re kind of a luxury, I think.

I’m not a doctor, so I don’t mean to sound presumptuous.
