I need some help.
My brother looks up to me like a role model and I think thats awesome, but recently it’s gotten to be more and more like he’s stalking me. You see, whenever I go somewhere in the house he follows me. When I ask him what he’s doing he always replies ’seeing what you’re doing’ and when I ask him to leave he doesn’t. Whenever I’m trying to go to sleep in my room (I have insomnia) he always opens the door and walks in to see if I’m sleeping as if it’s HIS room. Because of this I locked my door yesterday so I could do some things in my room and then when to sleep… forgetting to unlock the door. MY mother got VERY angry and switched my doornob with one that doesn’t lock then told my dad (I got yelled at 2 times, 1 time from my mom, 1 time from my dad).
Also, whenever I’m on the computer he’s right behind me reading and looking at everything. It kinda creeps me out expecially because some of my friends that I also talk to online say humor that is funny for a teenager but an 8 year old wouldn’t know what it means (and really DOESN’T need to know) and we also tell alot of inside jokes (which he yet again DOESN’T need to know). Plus I talk to my boyfriend on this game we both play and well it just is kinda AWKWARD with my brother right there y’know? I always ask him to leave and he always says ‘This is my room I can do what I want to!’ And the computer is in him room and no matter how much I plea my ‘rents won’t move it to my room. Plus when I’m on the computer he always says things like “oooh you didn’t ask if you could download that/get and account there! I’m telling!” and “OH! GO THERE GGO THERE!”
The most annoying thing he does above all is this acting like my friends are his friends. The sad part is all my friends HATE him, and he acts completely oblivious to this always stating “But *insert name here* likes me!” And that is always totaly untrue. I’ve even have my friend ask me to come over to her house instead of her coming over to my house and when I asked her why she said “Because your brother!” The REALLY annoying part is that my mom has this family friend who we’ve known forever, and in return I’ve known her son forever. He and I are the same age and have recently started seeing each other. We see them quite often which is nice, but my brother thinks that my boyfriend is one of his best friends as well. My boyfriend and I have talked about it and well he has the same feelings about my brother as I do. I just don’t know what to do about this problem. Help?
