Okay so it’s not okay to get tobacco companys to stop trying to get kids to smoke but…

it’s okay for food companys to load kids with sugar, fatty foods, and crazy portions how is that any better? Don’t get me wrong Smoking causes cancer but through out there lives they have to deal with obesity, heart problems, and diabetes. So your telling me cancer is bad because of how it will set on later in life but it’s okay for a bunch of fat kids to keep getting bigger and bigger? If people are going to smoke they are going to be retards if people are going to eat and get big they are going to. I can honestly say by example I used to do both smoke and eat fat foods. I was very fat and I was out of breath because of that and smoking. So what happened I went from smoking a pack to 2 packs a day and eating fast food 1 to 3 times a day to mmm maybe this isn’t good now… I can run, lift, and I am a much healthier person and I know that I was on set diabetes cause I would crave sugar and get dizzy if I didn’t eat etc. So what’s the difference they all cause health problems…food companys get kids addicted to their food through the stimulation of toys and having fun…just like the tobacco companys do…answers any one? Oh wait it’s because of the social view of people…people who smoke are usually creepy and not that charming and it’s “gross habbit” well **** that I think it’s a gross habbit if your a fat f**k and keep eating fast food.

Well like you did its all about choice, everyone has the choice to pick a pack up or not too. The only thing we can do is influence those people whats best for them, but hey if they want to get cancer or gain 50 pounds its their “choice”. When you made the choice to cut back on all of that unhealthy stuff it was a decision you made and now you feel better.

Maybe the society that you live in needs to concentrate less on the rule makers and more on parents that can provide better guidance? Why do you worry about “tobacco companies trying to stop kids, etc. etc.” and “food companies getting kids addicted, etc. etc.” and putting the onus on them instead of focusing your energy on guidance as a parent?

This type of society is one of “rights without responsibility”.

I don’t I just think it’s more of an issue of freedom of choice…choice of kids to smoke if they want to be stupid or what ever. as a parent? I don’t know if your suggesting I have a kid cause I don’t although I might not sure but so far no i don’t.
