Where were you?

Where are you going? How many days? And how many of your family are going for that price?
4
as many days as wanted but I was thinking a week
Where? And is this something the family wants to do or are they being forced to do it?
Just wondering if this sound fun to anyone out there… It does to me and it seems like a reasonable price…
You haven’t said where you’re going and what language are you going to be learning?
I’m just actually wondering if it sounds like a fun/good idea.
I don’t know, think it through. Especially in this economy! Just first see if you guys actually want to go, and then see if your able to afford it.
Ok. Let me try again. If it was you, would you do it? I’m just trying to get a feel for if this is a good price and if people like this kind of thing.
Well, if you’re going to Zimbawee and are going to learn Swahili, it’s not a good idea.
If you’re going to Italy, France, or Germany, then yes!
I don’t think its worth it and it seems foolish. when you go to this country you wont want to go there to learn you will arrive there and want to go sightseeing, go on tours and enjoy the vacation. Not spend it having your face buried in the books. Your better off going to a community college and taking up the language you want to learn there or hiring a private tutor, and then go to the country knowing the language and have the time of you life.
Don’t you think it would be more fun to learn there, where everyone speaks that language?
If you’re going to Mexico, make sure and bring your gun!
you cant make something more fun by changing the location. Yes living in the environment where people speak that language will force you to learn it. However that process takes at least a month. A week simply isn’t enough and a month at 400$ is a rip off. Its more logical to learn enough at home to properly read/write/speak the language then go(usually 6-7 months is good enough you dont need to know everything just the basics). If you spend a week studying their language you wont retain as much if you were to study at home or in a college for 4-5 months. Not only that what you have learned will go to waste as i imagine that where you live the majority of the people don’t speak this new language. THEREFORE NO PRACTICE. so you get back home and your forced to study more or lose what you have learned. ‘
That’s my two cents
On my own opinion that amount was already big. Maybe you can try to avail the online language stuffs. Aside from that the fee is not that just expensive. Their are so many online language instructor that are willing to teach you the language that you want to learn for a cheap amount.

Would you pay $400/day for your family to go to another country and learn the language there for a vacation? All expenses are included(food, accommodations, lessons and a fun activity each day). I’m just wondering if this sounds like a good idea?
