I dont want anything to come out wrong….I mean, its hard when youre typing but heres the deal. Ive always been a happy girl. Popular, in to fashion, cheerleader, college graduate, the whole deal…..but Ive always had little struggles with weight. Lately, its becoming more than a struggle - its the only thing on my mind. Ive always fluctuated, but the past 3 yeard Ive gained a ton of weight. Like 40-50 pounds. Im so miserable I cant function. I drink a lot at night and google weight loss remedies/surgeries, every single night. Its so depressing. I think about ending it all the time. Ive done every diet I can find. I feel like being thin is EVERYTHING. Why cant I get thin. I want it so bad. More than anything. Im scared

I re-read my post and it sounds dumb…look, Im just looking for an outlet - a palce to vent, a miracle, someone to tell me something I dont already know, someone to give me the one miracle weight loss remedy I havent yet found. Someone or somthing to make me actually feel good about myself. Ive accomplished alot in my life, but my heaviness overshadows all of it. Im obviously desperate for help and not afraid to admit it.

well i understand that…

look at it this way though… you said that you have always been a happy girl, and from what you have told me, it seems like you have alot to be happy for. instead of focusing on your weight focus on that.

not experiencing that problem i cant give you any real advice, but it seems like you should forget about it and be happy.

ending “it” for this reason is not a good reason… i know you may think everything is horrible right now, but imagine growing up in a house with a drug dealing mother, who works at the bar and is an alcoholic herself… while dad is not even in the picture for the first half of your life, only to end up living with him after your sick of your mom getting drunk and eventually getting pregnant again and making you babysit till all hours of the night on school nights to the point where you start to fail because you cant concentrait… i could go on… but yea.

sorry i dont want to sound like a jerk but from experience i have found out that tough love sometimes is the best way to approach this.

it sounds like you are just struggling, do you have any free time? can you go to the lake or the beach of something and just relax?

one approach i have heard about for this issue is to get rid of any scales you have, and get rid of any mirrors… but thats pretty extreme.

sorry im trying to give as much information i can give so i have a better chance at helping you.

well… in three years that much weight, if you break it down is like… 15 pounds a year… so really instead of looking for weight loss programs and such just eat healthier, and go more into the lable on your favorite foods to find the more healthier one. and you will start to return to your wanted area.

well there are no miracle weight loss programs… in fact alot of them are bad for your health… slim fast? yea… apparently not good for you at all.

Thank you so much for your reply. Its so nice of you to take the time and respond to someone you dont even know. Your reply is right, things could be worse. But if youve never struggled with your weight then you dont realize the way life becomes when you gain weight. You are automatically cast as a monster - i know this sounds extreme but its true. People treat me much differently know…but noneof that matters, what ,atters is what happens pschologically. I now feel worthless, disgusting, unimportant, unworthy, and repulsive. This is not a vanity issue. I didnt gain 5 pounds and think “ugh i need to lose wight” NO - I gained 50 pounds. I now am 24 yrs old, weight 185 and I feel like a worthless, disgusting repulsive ugly, person

well no problem :)

and how you began to feel like that… your right i may not understand fully. but i do understand how it feels to think worthless and unimportiant and all the other words you listed.

i may not be able to help you with your weight, and may not be able to do much to be honest, but im sure that you are an amazingly nice person, and your weight should outshadow that, its true in some peoples eyes thats not true, but 185 is not something that is horrible. i mean i dont see a persons weight, i see their personality.

sounds like you have a good personality. :)

i guess all i can tell you is hang on, eventually you will find that although there are people out there who are total jerks, there are some that wont care what you weigh, what you look like, what color hair you have etc… people are just funny like that.
