that’s interesting; potato in welsh is tatws (pronounced tat- and then the ous sound in superfluous), wonder if there’s any connection

my grandma used to say ‘Wheest yer row’ instead of shut up. Which i now use. Mostly i just talk with a scottish accent even though im in england, sometimes i just incorperate it into conversations
