job help: i started working at an animal hospital as a kennel technician - Help.com

i started working at an animal hospital as a kennel

technician because i wanted to see what it is like behind the scenes at a vet’s office because i’m wanting to be a vet. however, as of recently, i was unwillingly changed positions to working up front with the receptionists (away from the animals). i absolutely hate it and i asked one of my supervisors if i could work at my old position as a kennel tech again, but since they have hired more kennel techs there is no longer room for me so i she said i have to stay up front. i no longer enjoy work and wish to quit. however, i hate change and am afraid i wont be able to find a new job. should i quit or wait until i head off to college this fall? i’m going to be a freshman at virginia tech….majoring in animal sciences. please help! thanks!

Did you tell your boss why you want to be close to the animals? Does he/she know that your major is in animal sciences and that you want to get the experience?

yeah, my boss knows that i want to be a veterinarian and he hasn’t really said anything about the issue. i’ve mainly been talking to the supervisors.
