school help: i owe my university $20,000, and i cant get a loan for it. - Help.com

i owe my university $20,000, and i cant get a loan for it.

i made the decision to enroll for the semester, despite serious psychological issues, while i was off of my medications (i was unable to afford it.) now my account is going into collections. ive finally gotten help for the depression and anxiety, but i cant go back to school because of my outstanding bill.i make about $500 a month working retail, and most of it already goes to my normal loans. i just want to move on with my life and finish my last year of undergraduate education, but those horrible years of severe depression and anxiety at university agree still haunting me. i cant wait 20 years to go back to school. im at my wits end and i dont know what to do anymore.

You need to get a job in the field that you where studding and after you have been there a while they might pay for the rest of your education. As for your debt, your going to have to pay it off just like everyone else because I really doubt that anyone is going to give you a loan for it. Hope this helps :-)

i think you misunderstood the question. im not interested in anyone paying for the rest of my education, i can do that. i just dont know what to about this outstanding bill. i cant seem to get a loan for it, and i cant access my transcripts until gw doesnt have it anymore. i dont expect to not pay it off, i just need to find a way to get the university the money- from a loan, grant, whatever- so that i can move on with my life. i cant wait 20 years to go back to finish my degree while im paying it off.

im not begging for a free ride, just in need of some financial advice.
