Love help: A lot has been going one in my life recently. - Help.com

A lot has been going one in my life recently.

Everything just seems to be falling apart. I used to smoke a lot, a habit that helped me stop smoking weed. I had been cigarette free for about a year and a half, but with all that has been going on, I had the urge to get a pack two days ago, and just couldn’t fight it. Since then, I have smoked probably three packs, and I love it more than anything else right now. I don’t know what to do, I know I know I need to stop, but i just feel I can’t.

Hi Optti,
It is good that you stopped smoking for year and a half and you should be proud of it. If you take a decision for yourself, you should stand by it no matter what. Otherwise, you are not respecting your own decisions. You are spoiling your life with your own hands. Life teaches us many things. We should be open to all the lessons it gives us and learn to be stronger and tougher day by day. At times, life tests us to see if we actually became strong and tough…to see if we actually learnt the lesson it taught us. It is up to us to look at the test results and verify our actions.

The next time when you again have the urge to smoke, just stop for a minute and think for yourself if it is for your good. You should not become slaves to your senses and thoughts. Instead, you should use them for your own good and for others good!

Good luck and be ready anytime for your life lessons!
