its like your asking, why do gf’s put on makeup

Its the only time we can appreciate your beauty and silence all at once :D

When they watch the wife sleep, they’re trying to figure out if she has enough life insurance on her.

When they watch the girlfriend sleep, they’re trying to figure out if it would be OK to propose and marry her so they can take out a life insurance policy on her.

I don’t know but I’ve always thought it odd as well.

I don’t watch my wife sleep.

i think that is the sweetest thing ever. they say that if a guy gives up his own sleep to watch u, he is really inlove with u. no its not a dominant thing its just sweet. i think it means that he can protect u and look at u in peace. it means they dont want a waste a second with out looking at u. :]]]awwwwwwwww

i’ve woken up to my fiance watching me sleep, the look on his face was sooo adorable, like he couldn’t live without me.
I think its cuz they like to see our mouths SHUT for once..lol

My Wife comes in the bedroom stands over me and and listens, so she tells me, if I’m still breathing. After 46 years of Marriage i guess its normal….

I dont think its a dominance thing because even someone submisive might do that some. You see its just that they either want to watch over them or they think they look so sweet sleeping and enjoy them at peace :]

There are two answers I know of, the psychological one, and the reasoning.

The reason is subject to the individual, but probably has much to do with loving you, and the opportunity to adore your beauty, in silence, and revel in the moment of peace with the one he loves. I would find the latter to be very enticing, and have enjoyed those moments myself. Not that the beauty is underrated, just that the peace is so enjoyable.

Psychologically, there are plethora of reasons, that are all variably subject to the individual, and some may be commonalities among men. A feeling of dominance may provide a joyous feeling, but how much would be subject to the individual and not necessarily the dominant reason. Another might be that that their parents have watched them sleep, and found that to be comforting, and are trying to offer you that same comfort, even if you don’t notice at all, for there is the next time. This would also bring joy to the individual watching, for he would be taking on the role of his parents, making him feel mature and “powerful”.

All in all, it’s both sweet and loving; a gesture well worth it’s scrutiny…Unless he’s trying to decide if she has enough life insurance. :P

I watch my girlfriend sleep sometimes. I wake her up when I see drool coming out from the side of her mouth!

Oh I see. So you can take a sample to check for any life threatening illness and crank up the premiums on life insurance. Great tactic! XD

Well my girlfriend is away in America for a few months and we put our laptops on our beds so we can watch eachother while we sleep over webcam. I love her so much and seeing her sleep makes me so happy, she is so beautiful i cant even sleep some nights for watching her! She has the cutest face i have ever seen :) It makes me sad too as i wish i could kiss her and hold her right now :( I really wish i could run my fingers through her hair and whisper in her ear how much i love! So if you’re with your girlfriend/wife think yourself lucky to be with them!

Aww, that’s really nice! Where are you from? My bf is from England and I’m from the US. I really can’t wait to experience this - to wake up and see his wonderful face right next to me :D
