What extension do i need?

I want to have some vids on y iPod nano but i dont know what extension is needed! I tried flv but it just ignores it completely!!! What works?

Mp4 should be just fine for ipod nano.

MP4 filename extension(video format) is been supports by the iPod and iPhone.
MP3, AAC, M4A (audio file formats)filename extension are been support by iPod and iPhone.Try this iPod Video converter which can convert most of popular video to mp4 for iPod.
