OK, best way to break a lease then?

I need to find a way to get out of my six month lease. I already stayed there a month. I overpaid the first month and they have my deposit. They have few apartments on hand, and they could easily get someone to move into mine and sign a year’s lease for more money. The bees are a hazard and I will complain again. Other than that, I could tell them I am getting less pay at my job and unable to keep it, or … ??? I have no idea. Do you think they would be willing to help me, or what kind of fees am I looking at? Any ideas?

me too :[ basically my boyfriend was turning into a real jerk alcoholic. He told me a couple times, wasted, GET THE F*** out! So I did. But I cannot afford to stay there and have to live elsewhere. I thought I could make it, but I cannot. I really need to get out of this lease now. It is unfortunate, I liked the place :(

Hi - I am not sure if you have sorted this out yet but you could try Shelter - they are fantastic - you can get free legal advice on the phone on any housing issues or even via email. They are very, very good. Also citizens advice bureax give very sound free legal advice. Good luck
