Has anyone ever received an offer for a loan from another country and they require you to send a fee via western union?
My particular situation is I was told I could get $8000 from a company in Nigeria but they want $560 up front. I dont think so! Also I received a phone call from a company in Florida that said I was approved for a 10,000 loan but I had to pay $1197 in “fees” also via western union. I have always been told that to send money western union is not a good idea and not safe. The compnay in Florida is called Outsource Credit Solutions. Anyone heard of them?

Scam! And if you answer and lose the $560, you deserve it for being so gullible.
Erase that offer!
Any money offers coming from Nigeria are scams!!!!
It is definately a scam, someone from another country would never lend money because if you didn’t pay them back there is absolutely nothing they could do. Also if you sent them money to them you could never get it back either - thats why it’s a scam.
I figured so. I’m not going to do it, I just wanted to know if anyone had run across this. Like I told them, if I had $560 extra to throw away, I prolly wouldnt need a loan. What about the company in Florida? I have tried to check them out with the BBB in Florida but came up with nothing.

There are scammers also operating in the USA. As a matter they are all over the world and could be your next door neighbors.
Anybody who offers money through a computer, unless you can verify it 100% and can actually find out a physical office address, it’s not legitimate.
Be careful!!!!! There are a lot of predators out there just waiting to take your money!
Really, any loan or credit card etc that is legit will not ask for money before they give you anything.
If you are asked to give a fee in advance then it is a scam, no matter who they say they are. who they say the work for and what country they are in.
You give the money and you will not see it or them again.
Money up front= scam
Report them if I were you.
I am just so frustrated! I need a minmum of $7000 to consolidate and because of my credit score being “fair” to “weak” I cant get a bank loan for consolidation. Especially in these economic times. Any suggestions?
I work fulltime, have been at the same job now for 9 years, got divorced and am now raising my 3 yr old granddaughter, helping my disabled mother and had legal fees arise from hiring an attorney to help me fight my stepmother after my father passed away in Nov. She wont give me anything and I am entitled to 25% of his estate which is valued at over $300,000.
This sucks!
If you are entitled to it then take it, go to court and because it is yours she will lose and have to pay your fees
That’s what I’m doing, but in the meantime, the money I have already put out has put a real dent in my finances. I know she will have to reimburse me when all is said and done but she can drag this thing out for a long time..years from what I understand. I am waiting to hear back from my attorney as she has been served with papers to disclose the estates assets. I am the only surviving family member so it IS mine, but getting it from her is going to the a nighmare. He had no will but that actually makes it better for me.
I know, I got scammed on ebay of all places. Twice! Once a long time ago I bid on a cell phone and the seller had alot of good comments etc. so I won the bid and didnt have payapl at the time, wired the money but never got my phone. It wasnt alot of money, but enuff. Then I was selling my car, had a guy bid on it, win the bid then bailed on finalizing the sell. Ebay charged me all the fees for listing, selling and final sales etc. I had to relist my car because he wouldnt pay, and ebay has not responded to any of my emails on resolving this matter. I am STILL trying to resolve that one.
Are there any local loan companies in your area?
Know anyone who knows “someone” who can lend you money?
I mean you have proof that you have money owed to you and that when you get it everything can be paid.
yes, but because of my low credit score, they wont do an unsecured loan. When I got divorced, it ruined my credit. My ex let our house go that he wanted to stay in and I moved out along with alot of other bs. I have managed to slowly build it back up, I have an auto loan thru Chrysler and make regular on time payments etc. I have a couple small limit credit cards, so I am getting there. But with the economy going to crap, the banks are tight.
The funny thing just happened a couple hours ago. The “company” I was emailing about getting this money from called me! He was trying to convince me to move forward and I said I dont think so. He offered to lower the “fee” to half which would be $280 now not $560 and I still said no. He asked why and I told him, so I send the money on the understanding I am going to get a loan from you and then you never send me the money and I’m now $280 more in debt! He asked how he could convince me and I said, put a $1000 in my account, let me send you the $280 from that, then we can move forward. He was going on about how he would have to check and see if that was possible and I said yeah yeah and hung up. lol I’m desperate but not stupid!
As far as ebay…I have learned to get a signature confirmation. It’s worth the extra .50 cents or whatever they charge now. I have bought and sold on ebay for nearly 10 years now and have learned alot…mainly that most people cannot be trusted. Sad! 99% of all my transactions have been very positive and problem free, but it only takes that one “bite” to make a person leery.
