My nephews have moved in with us.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. I love them and want them to be ok but on the other hand it pisses me off that their parents are basically refusing to be parents to them. And they are really sweet boys. I’m barely speaking to my sister and have less contact than that with my brother-in-law. I’m happy that these kids are with me because things are relatively stable here and I know they need that. But they love their parents something fierce. Part of me wants to make their parents be parents and make them deal with what they are doing. But I know if I don’t watch them then the “parents” will dump the kids some where else. Looks as if it’s going to be a long ride…

*sigh* I see this more and more nowadays. Parents refusing to take on the responsibility of being parents. And, it breaks my heart to see children treated like this. God bless you for taking those kids in. They need a stable rolfe model figure in their lives even if their parents refuse to be.
