My buddy is in jail in CA with NO BAIL for selling

an ounce of cocaine to a DEA agent, and when they raided his house, found a fully automatic weapon (ak47). He is 19 with a clean record except for a recent DUI. If he doesnt flip, how long is he in for?

depends on how much he cooperates, how good his lawyer is, and the judge.

an ak47 hardly qualifies as a home-defense weapon. 19? sounds like he needed a wake up call…

well.. it sounds like he is in a bit of trouble here.
for one.. selling cocaine is a felony i do believe and then to sell it to an officer of law.. oh boy!!! then for the police to find an ak47 which is illegal in itself.. and then to have the past dui..
if you arent making this up.. your friend is looking at a few years in prison!!

:( yeah, I wish I was making this up. Prison sentance is NOT gonna help him change his business…because he’s in elmwood’s M-8, highest security. I was hoping to hear from a lawyer or something on here though so I could get a general minimum sentance.

well, selling cocaine is probably about 2 to 3 if its his first time… as for the ak47, thats another couple of years due to the fact its illegal to have… as for the dui.. if that is a past issue, it only plays on the new issues.. and shows the judge he is a repeat offender of trouble… so it makes the time stick longer is all… i would say, expect atleast 3 to 5..
