Hello, I am currently fostering a kitten that has a home but needs help getting there. - Help.com

I understand that everyone believes this is a scam, but it’s not. I don’t know how to get you to believe me. I work for Bellwether Harbor in fremont and that is where Leggo and his siblings were dropped off at. I am 23 years old and have been working at the shelter for almost 6 years (including high school internship) and I have never seen a kitten like Leggo before. He deserves the chance to have a great life. Please believe me and please help if you can. If it was truly a sham - why would I spend so much time creating a chipin page (I did make that one of my helpers did), posting videos on utube of a kitten that obviously can’t walk, and posting his story anywhere that will accept it? If his kitten didn’t find his awesome home in Kansas, he was to be humanely euthanized this past Friday. Please believe me. If not, thanks for at least reading to see what I had to say.

It know it is tough for everyone right now. I am not asking for someone to donate hundreds. One dollar would be awesome. But, I don’t rule the world - people can or cannot donate as they please. There is only one site that is accepting donations for Leggo, when the goal is reached (I believe) no other donations are accepted. I did not create the chipin for Leggo, someone else did and I don’t even know what state she lives in. I found Leggos new mom is Kansas from someone that lives in Texas - They know each other through yahoo groups helping disabled cats. The person that created the chipin for Leggo is a close friend to both Leggos new mom and the wonderful person from Texas. I’m not saying “I’m right donate”, I’m just trying to help everyone understand where I am coming from and trying to at the very least get people to understand that this legit. You don’t need to donate, just don’t dis the kitten that I am trying to help.

Bellwether does treat all the animals with respect. We do not euthanize on a regular basis, it’s been months since we have had to do that. There is no “usually” about euthaniza - we do everything we can before we have to make taht decision. With Leggo in our care, we could only do so much and we had to make the decision on quality versus quantity - until we found his new mom that could give him the care he needed.

The costs for ALL the tests and the physical therapy for this kitten will probably be through the roof, the people that are helping with trying to find donors wanted to help the owner a little more than just a plane ticket - it’s for Leggo too, what money doesn’t go for the plane ticket will go towards all of the tests - with the donations he will be able to have more tests done and more physical therapy sesssions.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Thank you for at least saying “sorry”. I apologize if I did appear to be asking more than once, after my first post I was just trying to clear up what everyone believed and had “questions” to and trying to help readers learn a little more about what they don’t know about Bellwether. I will not be replying anymore to comments - most of them just make me sad. :( Thanks for the helping the people you do. I know you’re a good person - you just have that “wall” up since there are so many frauds out there…I understand.
