My boyfriend who I’m in love with ran away from his home in Arkansas to come be with me in Minnesota.

He made it here in two days by hitch hiking. Were both 16. My mum picked him up at a gas station n while she was driving him here the police called her n said if she didn’t bring him straight to the station shed be under arrest. We didn’t get to see each other after he came all this way. He’s in temporary foster care and waiting for a hearing. I haven’t heard from him in two days because he’s not getting the phone priveledges like we thought he would. He told his dad he was coming n his dad said ok hitch hike, but it was his mum who filed the report even though she has no custody over him. I miss him n have been waiting by the phone in vain, any advice on what I can do? I feel like I’m not there for him even though there’s not really anything I can do. The police can’t tell us anything so we can’t call him either. :(

He’s probably going to get permanent foster care. I don’t know where he’s at and the police can’t tell me so I have no idea how I’d find out where he is.

Well it’s summer, most high schools are empty right now. I’m not much on patience, I’m worried if I do wait I’ll lose our chance to see each other.

He’s 6′2 and 175lbs, he wasn’t hurt at all by anyone n the only bad part was a bi trucker that started hitting on him. He met some really nice people along the way. His family doesn’t care about him, he had nothing to lose by coming here.

Im not saying he couldn’t have gotten hurt. His life sucked there, we wanted something better for him. Just because someone files a runaway report it doesn’t mean they care. Either way, he’s somewhere in this county safe right now and that’s not why I asked for advice.

I don’t really expect someone to know a way to help me, I guess this is me more of just venting..

Okay :) today I found the county public court scheduele for this upcoming week n I found one that is confidential and about taking away child custody so I’m crossing my fingers n heart n hoping it’s his. I’m not actually going to go in the building just wait outside and try to find him
