How can I lose 15 pounds without exercising or dieting?

I have heard about these pills called CLA that supposedly help you keep up your metabolism without requiring dieting. I’ve heard that green tea can do the same. Do these actually work?

i have never believed in weightloss without exercise - however i am pretty much overweight - height 1.72m weight 93kg. my correct weight should be around 75kg
i have been approached by a herbalife distributor who claims to guarantee me about a 4kg per month weightloss without exercise. do these products actually work?

There are multiple pharmaceuticals that have an effect on weight. Those that work require prescription from a Doctor and generally are only given to patients in whom lifestyle modificaitons (diet & exericise) are not possible (eg. paralysis). There is no evidence for herbal remedies. Crash-dieting (however new and improved the advertised diet) will make NO LONG TERM CHANGES. Most people are overweight because of low physical activity and high calorie intake. It is difficult to lose weight in industrialised countries were we are considered to live in “obesogenic” enviroments - ones which encourage efficient travel (requiring minimal physical exertion) and eating (high-fat and low-nutrition “fast food”). Thus whilst the solution to weight loss is simple in theory many find it difficult to maintain. Consider focussing on long term goals that are practical, achievable and realistic rather than suddenly cutting out all the naughties. Even small changes are beneficial and will have an effect over time.

Increasing physical activity goes beyond the benefits of weight control. There is solid scientific evidence that it improvies cardiovascular (heart) function, mental health - including self-esteem (the postulated cause, aside from improved self-image, is the release of feel-good endorphins during exercise), as well as improving sleep and relieving stress.

Similarly, having a bad diet increases health risks. Low-fibre and high-in-fat diets (very common in Western countries) increase bacterial intestinal carcinogen release, and the risk of colorectal cancer is higher in these countries. Atherosclerosis (fatty plaque deposition in the arteries) - the commonest cause of heart attacks and stroke - are also more likely.

Dieting and exercise are the only ways to lose weight. It’s healthier and if you play your cards right, it stays off easier. Pharmaceutical drugs should only be used to supplement weight loss. There is no quick-fix when it comes to healthy living. Keep a healthy, moderate diet as well. Don’t buy into all this fad-diet garbage. The only true diet that works is one that is balanced, avoiding booby-traps like trans fat and refined sugar.

Honestly, I found that eating five small healthy meals a day plus exercising once or twice a week kept me in shape, conditioned, and feeling energized. Small meals may consist of things like a cup of pasta with chicken, peanut butter sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, 1/2 cup of fruit like strawberries, eggs & toast, etc…

I usually have slightly heavier meals around lunch and dinner. My vices like cheese and chocolate are usually consumed during the most active part of my day.

This doesn’t have to be a militant diet - you can still have a good time and enjoy lots of great meals AND wine. These are just guidelines. Hope this helps.

um green tea would be a good diet food but i wouldnt recommend any pills. They could have some smpthems that aren’t too great. It would be a lot easier to just eat well and even if you just take a walk every day, thats good enough exercise to start out with. Just don’t turn to pills, I don’t think they are any good for you unless you are extremely over-weight. Maybe you should ask your doctor for his opinion.

I agree with everybody on here. In order to lose weight you have to exercise. Try things that you enjoy doing. For example walk if you like to walk, ride a bick, go dancing, even s3x. You can lose weight and have fun all at the same time. I’m Puerto Rican so I hit up the spanish clubs almost every Saturday and Sunday. It seems to work for me.
