ok heres one for you, do have to have a special sata driver installed before i can use a sata hard drive or does the bios do it all?

if you’re installing a sata drive without previously having one, you should use the software that comes with the drive when you buy it, if you have previously used a sata drive then you wont need to do anything. it will just plug and play. actually it might even plug and play if you never had a sata drive also.

heres one i got a virus that deleted my speaker drivers and a friend told me just to download them again from the website and it didnt work. any ideas?

so where does the driver go? if i don’t have an os and i can’t read the drive where does it install? haha i just bought a new board, athlon 64fx, 4 gb ram, dual 250gb

try reformatting mr.mo lol viruses are the fail. thats what i do when i get a virus.. oh wait ive never been infected >.>

@ shuan and im not sure, try installing the os from your disk after you connect everything it will probably just plug and play. but im pretty sure the driver goes in the bios somewhere.. you actually got me stuck on that one. >.

wow i have no idea how to do any of that. thanks anyway…. if it wasn’t my stupid mistake to get a virus i would take stumping you as a complicate. lol
