Well, I live in Redding, I’m 18, and i have no hope of success if I stay here.

No jobs, wellfare town, etc.
So now I am leaving and going to sacramento where I have a better chance of finding work, yet also a better chance of starving to death in a gutter.
i’ll be staying with someone for 10 days. period.
so after that 10, I have no idea what to do.
the trick is, I cannot come back to redding, and i cannot afford to give up.

any ideas?

are you leaving to better yourself or so that you can help out people back home? if its to help out your family, roofing/construction companies are good places to work at because physical labor pays more than a regular part time job and requires less education. if you are leaving to better yourself then i suggest enrolling in summer school somewhere and get a work-study. there are jobs where i live and it still took me 4 months and 68 job applications to get a job as a cashier, just to warn you

peace,

The best times in my life have been like a rollercoaster, the moments where you feel the least in control are generally the life changing ones, have faith in yourself and be open to new things, you’re gonna be scared ******** alot of the time but hell, when you look back on you’re life in 20 years you’ll laugh. go for it head on figure it out when you get there

much love humanboy12,

dont forsake anything in life, you have life changing experiences ahead..one way or the other, neither are bad, i know its an ego trip but perspective is everything… im not going to give you the answers you may be looking for, but just imagine that Sacremento is impoverished godforsaken city to someone else. follow you’re heart and keep and open mind
