Does anyone know anything about a site whose address is informationonlinej.com?

? I responded to an email advertising a new flashplayer upgrade. The site had the adobe logo and looked legit but when I went to pay with my credit card first I got the standard don’t hit back button while approvel is in progress and then I started getting various messages such as “verifying with bank” “waiting for response” “pending approvel” thing is every time a different message came up the screen would jump so I backed out but I have to assume that my card is compromised. I did several searchs and didn’t come up with anything on them. Informationonline.com is there but without the j. I found the service that processes the payments and they seem to be legit but there was the usual disclaimer that they are not responsible for any of the merchants actions. As I said I’m pretty sure my card is compromised but would appreciate any info or feedback and this is also a heads up for anyone else who might run across this.

That’s what websites do when they’re looking to steal your money or ID. Talk to your bank and cancel the card and decline to pay for any charges from that website. Explain to your bank.

Thanks Nick much appreciated. That’s pretty much what I had planned. I was curious to know if anyone else here had come across this paticular email. Thanks again

Next time don’t reply to something you did not solicit yourself. You were a victim of phishing.

Yeah you’re absolutely right and I’ve been on here long enuff to know that. Fact is I been on here 6 yrs or so and that’s the first time that’s happened. I know its not really an excuse but the main reason I went for this is because it was supposed to be a flash player upgrade and I’ve been having flash player problems for a few days now. Like I said I know it’s not an excuse and that those 6 yrs didn’t really count for anything when I took the bait on this.
