You’ll get no debate from me that the earth is getting hotter, however, the idea of it being man-made is a crock of #%^* made up by Al Gore so he can tax us on how many miles we drive.

The climate is always changing. Currently, humans are making the Earth less hospitable to life as we know it. This includes CO2 emissions and many other things which are wreaking havoc on Earth’s ecosystems.

A noted rise in temperature is due (at least in part) to human activity.

Don’t the c02 levels rise after the temperature, not the other way around?

Not that we aren’t wrecking ecosystems in other ways, but I do not think we are responsible for the change in the temperature of the earth. :P

Both. Part is natural, but we’re not making things any better.

Why would it crack you up? I’ll bet that you’ll also say evolution is absolutely true as well?

It’s a perfectly legitimate question. There is no definitive proof one way or the other. There’s lots of research, but the same kind of research also says that the has changed many times in history. And the earth has only risen a couple of degrees in the past couple hundred years. But we’re coming out of an ice age still, so shouldn’t the earth be getting warmer?

Evolution is another topic. Make another post for it, or it WILL overtake this topic.

Now, the last time I checked was a while ago, and I don’t have the attention span to check now, so someone prove me wrong if I’m wrong, but I recall us being in the end of a temperate period which allowed us to develop to the stage that we have, NOT just leaving another ice age. Also, the fact that the Earth is getting warmer will actually accelerate another ice age. The polar caps melt, they leak cold water into the ocean currents, disrupting their flow and pattern, causing them to slow, or even stop. This prevents the pleasant weather that Europe, for example, enjoys. No Atlantic currents, no nice weather, and then Europe turn into an ice cube. After that, it’s just a chain reaction.

Also, just to say it, there is no proof, either way, on ANY topic. This is a science-based debate, go with the strongest evidence.

Also, please check my facts. Like I said, this is just what I remember from the last time I was watching the Discovery channel and lost the remote.
