Firewall help: I can’t get Ventrilo 3.0.5 to connect to server. - Help.com

I can’t get Ventrilo 3.0.5 to connect to server.

I have Verizon security suite setup to allow the 3874 and 6110 ports to bypass the firewall. I have also setup port forwarding in my router. I have allowed the ports to bypass on the windows vista firewall, even tho i’m not using it, and still it will not connect with the servers. I have gotten it to by restarting my computer and getting on it before i start any other programs, but if my security sweet starts any type of scan I get knocked off and have to restart again to make contact. Any clues?
