Stressed & Depressed.

I’m 19 years old. Me and my fiancee have a baby due in September (unexpected not planned). We have everything that the baby needs, its room is FULL of everything (all new furnature, clothes, dipers, the whole 9 yards).

But, were not broke, but we are low on money… I am the only one working ATM due to my fiancee can not being late in her pregnancy now.

So, I decided to take action and apply for the RCMP which would give me full benifits and very very good salary. I passed every test over the past 6 months (and believe me, they are not easy at all). I passed my last test to be accepted, unfortunately, I didnt get accepted because the last time I used drugs was in early 2008 (apparently you need 2 years clean). So I wasted my last 6 or 7 months on this…

I had a lot riding on that, would of helped my upcoming family greatly. Now I don’t know what to do. Between paying for car insurance, bills, and now baby come September, I just don’t know what I can do. I’m only making a part-time pay of 12.50/hr (been working there almost 3 years) and getting full time hours (36-40), but that wont be enough to support my family’s life. I mean, eventually we need to get a house, etc.

Its stressing me out to the point where I don’t enjoy anything, work all the time, not get much sleep and its starting to take a toll on my health. I can’t go back to uni for 5 years, ill be in debt and my family will have no income during that time.

Any suggestions on how to get my feet back on the ground? Should I take a second job? I’m going to be in serious trouble if I don’t do something, worried everyday for what may happen if I don’t have enough to support my baby and family.

Thanks.

Wow! Sounds like you’re in tough spot. I would say, take the second job and wait until your situation improves to make your next move.

where is that thing about calling for depression help? HelpBot should give you that.

I would contact a finincial advisor or something like that because you’ll want an expert, not someone online who could scam you. If you live in canada, try Scotiabank or TD Canada.
