Take the Covenant, add some Harry potter, and throw in a dash of Underworld.
Let sit for a few years to make sure all the cool and interesting parts fade, and the rest begins to fester and grow maggot colonies.
Sprinkle a little bit of melancholy, and then let it marinade in a bucket of whiny, wrist-cutting emokid angst.

Bake at 350 degrees for two hours and you have Twilight. Don’t mimic it, you can to so much better.
