What is happening to Help.com?

I understand that “help” is a very general term and can be applied to almost every post on this site, but honestly, I don’t believe Help.com was created for such queries as: “How do I get a virtual beer drinking app?” or “This video is Hawt, check it out.”

The members of Help.com also seem to be made up more of sarcastic and “jokey” individuals than those who actually care to help others in need. Then again, I suppose with topics like “What to do if I choke on a ‘pickle?’” there’s nothing to do but be sarcastic and jokey.

For chrissake the most popular topic right now is about Sarah Palin! While it is hilarious, is it really Helping anyone?

laughter is the best medicine (i can’t believe i said that). i love this site for it’s variety, while sarah palin may be the buzz topic right now, i am as we speak reading about a paradox, discussing the sanctity of life, having a jokey conversation with some friends about a play, and keeping and eye out in case there is anyone i feel i can genuinely help. this site is like life, it’s freedoms are both it’s greatest asset and it’s biggest problem, but i wouldn’t want to change it. apart from to make the stupid avatars work.

Help me with: can someone explain why my computer will only let me load up help.com and a single youtube page?

that’s not exactly fair, people always assume that just because someone makes a comment at or about something they are implicitly applying that they are amazing in some way, but it just doesn’t work like that, if NikAngelo feels or felt the way he did then there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be able to express that, it doesn’t make any different whether he’s the ultimate helper or not.

Well not everyone has an education their parents paid for and they get their help differently - are you suggesting that the frivilous tone somehow dilutes their thoughts? Nice to see you arent judging people - much.
