I’ve known my current boyfriend for about a year, but we barely started dating about a month ago.
Everything was going good until yesterday when he dropped the L bomb. I couldn’t say it back and immediately thought of the guy that was my first everything (we dated for 2 years and broke up 3 years ago). Well, I tried to put it aside, but couldn’t help asking myself why I thought of him after all this time. Long story short, I realized I never told another guy I loved him since the first and never felt as strongly towards any of the other guys I’ve dated. I ended up talking to the ex and confessed all of this to him. We’re still just friends and I don’t see us rekindling anything, I just had to get it off my chest. Now, should I tell my current boyfriend about this confusion and confession or let sleeping dogs lie and see where the road leads between us?
