Hi,
I am 40 years old and have serious health conditions that have hindered my ability to make a descent income. As of April of this year I have been on light duty at work and have missed more days than I’ve worked. My Dr. took me completely out of work as of June 29. I feel like I am causing a financial burden on my family. My husband works 2 jobs but his second job only gives him 6 days a month. I was on disability before I went to work at this job back in 2006. My health improved enough to where I felt I was able to return to work. Now it’s taken a downturn and the pain I suffer from causes me to have to lay down for several hours a day. I don’t want to leave my job because I love what I do. But I don’t want to put my employer in a bind by holding a position that could be filled by someone who can be an asset instead of a loss to the company. I don’t know what to do. Should I try to get my disability started again or wait on my workman’s comp.
