Is it normal to not like one of your kids?

I just don’t like my oldest,I love her and she is only a kid but she annoys me to no end. My friend says its normal to have favorites but I’m so scared of ruining her life what can I do?

no its not uncommon to not like one of your kids because logically if one of your kids has a personallity you dont like….your not going to like them;) aslong as you love her and will alyways be there to help her then no problem.

And what do you mean you don’t like her? Is she a teenager or something? Nobody likes teenagers.

I truly believe you should never, ever have favorites. It ruins the kid that is least. Try to find a way around her annoying ways and see if there is something else about her that you like and can deal with. Remember that she is your flesh and blood. Seek out help. Find someone that can help you better understand her and she to better understand you. It’s normal not to like one of your kids for a little while, but it’s not normal all the time. Please get help.

Thanks for the support I just don’t know whats wrong. I mean honestly shes only 7 but she acts like shes older on top of that,she cries at the drop of a hat, but feels no regret when she’s doing something she knows is forbidden. Her father’s family has taught her to be a snob and look down on us when she was younger , but her father ran out and we haven’t had contact with any of them in over a year.
