The same thing happened to me. I think my friend is right.
We should backup our important iPhone SMS to Computer and keep them safe there.
We can use this iPhone SMS backup software:

The unlucky thing happened to me . but for the Tansee iPhone Transfer SMS….. thanks a lot . i download http://www.softwarebbs.com .so if anyone met the same problem .you can figure out your problem by using the software

If you’ve backed up your iPhone SMS via iTunes, all of your messages will still be there as of that point. Hopefully you do it often and wont lose many of the new ones..
