I’m asking this for a friend, what can be mistaken for cocaine when you take a urine test?

Completely illogical. Poppy seeds would fool a test if it was testing for an opiate based drug. Cocaine is based from the Coca leaf. Completely different chemicals.
ok. coca cola maybe then?Commander Ikari wrote:

happened to my friend super straight edge guy almost lost his job b/c of it but when he went to his dr. about it thats what he was told… he ate poppy seed muffins for breakfast every day
If that’s possible then why would they sell the drink if something like that could show up in your system for a urine test?
why do they still sell poppy seed muffins and bagels?Anonymous wrote:

because it tastes good, and they don’t make you high or anything.

ok i think you missed the sarcasm in that comment buddy
no really. no sarcasm. coca cola is the only company in america that can still use coca leaves legally for their product. the only thing is, they make it so that it doesn’t give you a high.mz.mo wrote:

I am almost certain you are at least partially wrong.
ahhh im from america and I know for a fact they dont use coca leaves anymore the FDA would be all over that
lol i quotes the wrong one opps i ment the comment coca cola one my bad
Anyway Anon, are you in denial of a friends cocaine use, or trying to explain your own false positive away?
Or do you want to know what to take before test day to invalidate your results?
oh yea, ok lol I guess I’m stuck back in 1929 :P you guys are right lol
i love the coca plant and i past my test … it was on a thursday … i got lite on friday and saturday
You’d have to eat a whole heck of a lot of poppy seeds for you to test positive for opium/heroin nonsense.
Here you go:

My god. How hard is it to understand that opiates do not equal cocaine? Now coke is a stimulant, but other then that its in a class all its own. Unlike opiates, which come in many forms (Opium, heroine, oxycontin ect.). Although opiates come in many forms, they all metabolize into the SAME chemical once they get into your body; morphine.
So, no there’s no other drug that a drug test could mistake cocaine for.
According to that website I posted, there are many drugs that a test could show a false positive for. I don’t know how accurate that site is, though.
They’re trying to sell you their product…I really doubt their information is accurate. But anyway, I did some more digging and apparently there ARE several things that can be mistaken for coke in the bloodstream.
