I believe that if we pull out now we will have them coming and invading us very soon after. I think we need to slowly start moving away and stop this madness! We want our troops home!

Hmm yeh. I disagree with the war. The british goverement said “it would not distinguish between terrorist organisations and nations or governments that harbor them.”

Pre 2001, the majority of al-Qaeda operations were based in Afghanistan. Since then al-Qaeda has been hugely dismantled and most terrorist training and activity has been forced out of Afghanistan. Politically the war makes perfect sense, but obviously this is purely based on figures. We expect casuality in war, so this alone will change nothing with the NATO/UN Authorised war.

I understand why it’s happening, but I’m far from supporting it.

But of course all the information I’ve stated above has come through the British + American Media. So this is not nessicary to be taken as fact.

Russia have voiced concerns with an American/British ulterior motive due to the strategic location of having perminant American and British Military presense in Afghanistan. Kabulov said. “It’s very close to three main world basins of hydrocarbons: Persian Gulf, Caspian Sea, Central Asia.”

The further injection of troops by the Americans does not justify the needed military presense at the moment, so the underlying stratagy is most certainly questionable - but the Russians have always been (and have every right to be!) nervous about American activity near their homelands.
