43k is 108%
you want 100%
divide 43k by 108
multiply that by 100
that should be your answer, sorry if thats wrong, percents arent my forte, but im pretty sure thats it

Find 8% of 43,300.
Do this by taking 0.08(8%) and multiplying it by your first number(43,300).
You get 3464.
Then subtract it from your answer.
43,300-3464= 39836

Yeah, yeah, having a stupid day. -_-

But he asked for 8% LESS than $43,300. Not an 8% increase of his last years paycheck.

Normally I’m good at math, I just don’t know what’s left, right, up, or down today. O.o

That’s not the right answer. 8% increase is 1.08 times your pay, so you’ve got 1.08times some unknown number to equal 43300.

1.08 * x =43300
so 43300/1.08=x

his pay in the original year is 39814
check it out? 39814*1.08=43300 yes

That’s the answer I got first, but I forgot how I found it afterward and had to try again. -_-
Math = fail today. :( I’m usually good at it, I swear. :P
