Ok, a while ago i said id put the prologue to my book
up about two weeks ago, and i apologize, i suddenyl got busy and now have less time to write than i thought i would. anyway, here it is, the prologue to my book that currently does not have a name:
J’vhali Capitol
Council Chambers
0900 hours, Standard time
July 28 2012
Dhoul waved his hand over the sensor, and the door in front of him opened. As he entered the large circular room, he saw the Council, which was comprised of Khali, Rhido, and Nhor.
They had feline features; from the glossy back fur that covered their entire bodies to the whiskers that twitched on their noses. They wore deep red robes to signify their membership on the Council, as opposed to Dhoul’s own robes of deep blue to signify that he was a Sub-Council member.
“Sir, the results are in. The planet to be purified is at these coordinates,” he said as he handed an electronic notepad to Khali, the Council’s Head Member.
Khali examined them for a moment, and then said, “Very well. Let us begin the purification procedure.”
Nhor then turned around and turned on a hologram that showed a plane. The planet was about three feet in diameter, and the archipelago that covered the planet was shown in startling detail and color.
After everyone had gotten a good look at the planet, Dhoul took something out of his pocket. It looked like the electronic notepad he had given Khali a moment ago, but it had a button instead of a display, and had a lid that had to be flipped open before the button could be pushed. He opened the lid and, after Khali’s nod of approval, he pushed the button.
On the hologram, something that had previously looked to be an asteroid began speeding towards the planet. On the side of the planet, a close-up of the object appeared, revealing it to be a sort of missile.
After the missile reached the atmosphere, the nose began to split into four sections. The four sections began to open, and once they had, a metal rod fell out of the missile.
The rod was a dark gray, with markings engraved on it. It began to glow red with the heat of entering the atmosphere of the planet, except for the markings. They began to glow a deep blue, almost the same color as Dhoul’s robes.
Then, for just a moment, it seemed to start collapsing into itself. Then, it exploded in a fiery display of red, orange, and yellow. The explosion covered nearly an eighth of the planet. Once the explosion ended, several other missiles could be seen heading for the planet at different places.
After a moment of silence, Nhor said aloud, “There is now one less imperfect and impure species in the galaxy.” I almost feel bad that we must do this…but it is a necessary act, and someone must do it. He looked around, and it appeared to him that the other council members felt the same way.
Rhido waved to Dhoul, dismissing him from the Council chambers. “Fellow Council members, it is now time to send the invitations to the next five planets. They must also be given their space-time equalizers. The first is the planet referred to as 897-0923. However, they are more locally known as…” he checked a display on the wall before finishing his sentence, “as Earth.”
