ive tried connecting my Philips speakers to my Toshiba laptop.

it wont work. For a start the cable looks exsactly the same as a Earphones cable. what can i do my built in ones are too quiet HELP! x

why won’t it? do you have the voulume on the speakers up?

Why don’t you get the things from basic go through the user manual and prepare a checklist regarding the procedure might be u missing some power or volume kind thing..

Check first that U uses the right speaker output on the computer. The output U shall use have normaly a pink collor.

Then check if the sound on the computer is on, and at high volume. I guess The Philips speaker system have a volume controller on a cord or a speaker. check this also. And be sure the Philips speaker system have power and is turned on.
