Simple
Outside, the skies are blue
above the fields that bloom.
A tree stands,
unmoving,
waiting,
for the hands of a gentle breeze.
Underneath lays a man,
his face etched by weather,
his clothes made of leather.
In his hands,
holding,
claiming,
the righteousness of black steel.
His papers,
his numbers,
his names,
all lost to the man.
The barrel pointed to his heart,
sleek, cold and shining,
awaits the ending.
The man does not see,
his observer on the path.

Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
That poem is illustrative and well-written, but just to clarify, is there something you want to share with us?
The poem is sharing no? What else would I need to share?
Oh just checking if you need help with something.
Sometimes people use poetry when asking for help, or they are completely fine and the poetry is a work of art.
Perhaps I do need help. The world is…problematic and complicated beyond my feeble comprehension. There’s no fixing our failures in sight. Where is purpose in a cold and violent world beyond control?
I don’t expect an solution. My problem, is that many people don’t appreciate the sadness and injustice our world exhibits. This poem was an approach to this dilemma.
I see most of the problems in the world stemming from people who are in need of help. So, the solution, as I see it, is to learn how one can provide that help.
So it seems that you are interested in creating a warm world with no violence. You would be amazed at the difference one person can make. I’m really not kidding. I’m talking about changing groups, organizations and even cities and countries, and even influencing peaceful revolutions.

I would be amazed if I could make a significant difference. Only time will tell I suppose. I do plan to join some activist groups, maybe write a book.
Wow, 29 viewings and only one person to comment. I guess that means it wasn’t very good huh?

It’s Simple?

Of course you can make a difference :D.
I make a difference every day. I chose “making a difference” to be part of my life. I feel fulfilled when I do it, and I’ve helped so many people.
Keep learning and there is no limit to how much you can help others.
What sort of activism are you interested in?
You can join organizations, write letters to politicians, speak up during meetings at work, make appointments with professors, educate people about issues etc.
I feel that I should learn more before I commit to a certain organization or purpose.
Psychology and counselling courses are great for everything, arts courses work well for understanding different perspectives, moral philosophy is excellent, a foundation in science, economics and investing works wonders for examining all kinds of issues.
Also, building a network of people helps, because then when you need some specific info you can ask a friend.
Hmmmm….excellent. No really, very well written. I’m not just saying that.
The end hits me the most. So who is the observer? Does the observer affect his path at all? As in, when he is observed, is his fate changed?
Or is it that the observer brought this possible outcome and made it a reality?
Or am I digging too deep?
The point would be to dig into your own imagination and world of probability. What do you think would be the most likely scenario? I for one, try to think of them all.
Yes, that’s right, the best answer is relative to your own experiences. So I leave the conclusion up to you.

A Simple Action

The man does not see,
his observer on the path.
Thats really smoothly readable. :]
