I told my boss I was going to take a long vacation

at the last minute, so he rearranged the work schedule just for me to take time off, Now it turns out I dont need to take the vacation, for a truthfully lame excuse. Should I come up with a bizarre story that sounds way better then the truth, so nothing looks bad. Im young.

well if you cant take the vacation, then maybe you should work on those days and tell the truth, maybe that would work out better… no?

tell the truth, your boss will appreciate your honesty, but they would disapprove strongly if you make something up, its usually very easy to tell when your being told a tale and this reflects on your future worth to this particular emplyment
