So I have a situation where I share an apartment with a roommate.
Our lease isn’t up until Sept., but she has been living with her boyfriend(expense free) for the last couple of months although her stuff is still here. She continues to pay her half of the rent, but we also split utilities. She has two, gas and cable, in her name & I have the electric in mine. Now the gas and electric are based on usage, obviously, but should I still hold her responsible to pay her half of these bills or should I pay them on my own since I am the only one actually living here? I feel the cable bill should be split since it doesn’t matter if either of us uses it or not, the bill is them same. Any thoughts/comments would be helpful! Thanks
