How can I lose 10 pounds in a week?

I go back to school in about 2 weeks, plus I have Boot Camp in preparation for NJROTC. I’m a freshman and I want to surprise some of my old friends and maybe
get some attention. I don’t care if it’s healthy, I just need it temporarily. I have my exercise for ROTC. Please, what exercises are good for weightloss that don’t require you to go to the gym? And what combinations of foods help lose weight?

Run an hour a day and eat only i protein and fats… If you eliminate carbs, your body will be forced into ketosis, which in turn will burn all your fat supplies as energy… Make your total carb intake no more then 20 grams a day… You can easilly burn off 10 lbs. good luck

Hmm… you probably won’t be able to lose 10 pounds and /keep/ it off. That’s going to be the difficult part. I need more dimensions of what your height/weight/BMI/Body fat % is. Low-fat healthy foods as in salads and yogurt will be the keys to weight loss quickly. Add cardio workouts (running, jump rope, yoga, etc.) in there to help. You don’t want to build muscle if your goal is to only lose 10 pounds. Even though lifting will increase your metabolism, you’ll gain weight (muscle).

I’d suggest: No fast-food/fatty foods/chocolate/foods high in fat. Instead, eat yogurts, fiber cereals, keep your vitamins up, water (but not too much for water weight), and some cardio.

Hope this helps,

-Andrew

I’m 5′3 and I weight 140.
I kinda let myself go during summer D;
I know this won’t be kept off, I would just like to go back to school
looking nice and etc. Just for the first couple of days/week of school.

I walk on a treadmill for 10-15 minutes a day, and swim for two hours. Then I do some crunches, and sometimes walk around my neighborhood.

bleh.

My friend showed me the ‘three day/navy diet’.
Is that diet worth getting on?
It’s only temporary for me.

:/

Hmm… Swimming is excellent cardio. Up your treadmill to at least 30 minutes a day. I wouldn’t follow the advice of the “apple man.” You will become very weak and vitamin deficient. That’s not what you want.

I’m not really too sure about that diet you speak of. Yogurt is very good due to the cultures in it which will speed up your metabolism. By doing this, you’ll burn calories faster. It’s also very filling. Salads have barely any calories in them as well, and they will fill you up.

Personally, I think your height/weight is a fine ratio.

Don’t do that. It would be unhealthy. Shouldn’t loose more than 3 pounds a week.

The best way to loose weight safely is to just cut out fatty foods, and things you dont REALLY need such a crisps, chocolates etc.
I lost 5 lbs in one week eating cerial for breakfast with semi or skimmed milk…cerial such a weetabix (as this helps digestion) with fruit such a grapes (not bananna as this is hig in carbs)…for lunch, brown break with sliced white meat or ham woth plenty of salad and water to drink with some fruit.
then for dinner, steamed fish/chicked with salad or veg..try and cut out big amounts of potato, but if you do have potatio have a jacket spud.
no sauces such as mayonnaise etc…
drink plenty of water..and dont snack of crips & choccie….snack on fruit, rice crackers or low fat yoghurt. that was 5 lbs on one week, without excersie! imagine how much more i could have lost in that week with some gentle excersice!!!!!
hope this helps.
