OK so I am 46 married and have 4 kids.

I had a good job that paid 88k / year. I was layed off in December and have been looking hard for a new job ever since. Problem is that unemployment has not been enough and I have burned through almost all of my savings. I have maybe 1 - 2 months left and then I will not be able to make another house payment much less put food on the table. I do not know what to do. I have kept up on all of my payments to date but am very concerned that I am going to lose my house… This will destroy my credit rating.

I think Obama has signed a bill into effect that you can borrow (at today’s interest rates), up to 110% of your home’s value. However, you can ONLY do this if you can prove that you are on your way to foreclosure.

IDK if having a lower house pmt will help or not. But, it would be significantly lower. If we could do that, we would save several HUNDRED dollars a month
