What do u guys think?

i wanted to post this because i’ve been thinking about it a lot these past few days and i guess it’s bothering me a little so i wanted to hear wut you guys think about it. Anyways, i like going to church and learning about Jesus and all that good stuff but i also like to smoke weed. i havn’t gone to church in a while because i guess i feel that if i go and i still smoke weed, i’m just being…..fake. Other than the fact that it’s illegal, i don’t see anything wrong with it. i think alcohol is a lot worse than weed and maybe it should be illegal instead…idk. i guess it just sucks that i have to choose between two things that make me feel happy. why can’t i have both?

weed grows naturally on this earth, if you believe in god then you believe god made the earth, how can something he put on this earth that grows naturally be wrong? i don’t personally believe in god, but i do think weed being illegal is hypocritical at best. you don’t have to choose between the two, it’s your peers who have the problem.

Number one, Smoking weed is somewhat of a nonissue. While it is unlawful it is a personal decision and should be treated as such. It is unwise to smoke it as it may land you in jail, but that is the extent of it, excluding the fact that we as Christ followers are supposed to find our joy in Him not in smoking.

I would like to point out something though.

We also have poison ivy here as well, if you want to use that logic then you might as well try smoking that too, not that I would recommend it. Just because something is on the earth does not make it good. But hey if you want to go out and smoke poison ivy I would suggest making hospital arrangements first.

For the record, if you couldn’t tell that was sarcasm. Not you Jubilee, just anyone who happens to read this.

If only perfect people were in church, there would be no people there at all. Certainly, the conflict you feel can be worked out in church.
As far as the legality goes, I think you should work to make changes in the law of the land. It can be done and the proof of that is in the repeal of Prohibition, which is why alcohol is now legally available in the USA.

I don’t really have a good opinion or sense of the overall subject matter, but one perspective springs to mind: “Weeds” can’t be legal, by one definition, they’re what grows where they shouldn’t — like, it was the Garden of Eden, not the Jungle of Eden, and weeds are what you don’t want to have growing in a garden. Again, sorry that doesn’t really approach the actual issue you face, I just thought it was an interesting perspective and idea.
