I’m trying to make a sign and want to put shadow’s [no apostrophe needed to form a plural] on all my capital letters.

I’ve managed to find all the letters I need except for the letter’s [no apostrophe] I and G and I’m having trouble imagining a light shining down on them like every other sight [site] say’s [no apostrophe] to do. Does anyone know where the shadows should go on these?

You’re thinking of “drop shadows.” They are usually a little below and a little to the right of the letter (or object) – and behind it. You can make them blurry, for maximum realism, but that isn’t necessary. They should be lighter and less prominent than the letter.
